City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of the New Year's holiday. City offices will reopen Thursday, January 2 at 8:00am.

Bulk and yard debris collection has been cancelled. Please hold until your next collection on January 15. 

The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed Wednesday, January 1.

Bus service: There will be no bus service on New Year's Day (January 1).

City offices will reopen Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 8:00am.

Bus service: Only Routes 1-6, SHOPPER, reduced ICS service, and night routes will operate.

Refuse for Monday, February 17 will be collected on Tuesday, February 18.

City offices will be closed Friday, April 18, 2025 in observance of Spring Holiday.

City offices will reopen Monday, April 21, 2025 at 8:00am.

Refuse for Friday, April 18 will be collected on Friday, April 18 as scheduled.

The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.

City offices will reopen Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 8:00am.

Refuse for Monday, May 26 will be collected on Tuesday, May 27.

Bus service: There will be no bus service on Memorial Day.

City offices will reopen on Friday, June 20 at 8:00am.

Bus service: There will be no bus service on Independence Day.

• Fireworks: The sale, use, or possession of fireworks is illegal in the City of Harrisonburg. Illegal fireworks will be confiscated. (City Code Section 16-6-57.)
